Kimaya - Australian Brand

Welcome to Kimaya, where tradition meets modernity in the world of sustainable fashion. At the heart of our ethos lies a deep appreciation for the timeless elegance and environmental consciousness that fabrics like Khadi (a handwoven fabric), pure cotton, and linen embody.

Our journey, a blend of quality and sustainability

Our journey began upon recognizing a significant gap in the market for high-quality silk, pure cotton, and linen garments, at a reasonable price. The current market is tilted towards very high or to a very low range of products. At Kimaya, we have tried to bridge this gap and created high quality masterpieces with sustainable means. In a world, increasingly aware of its ecological footprint, we saw an opportunity to blend style with sustainability.

  • Pure Cotton and Linen

Our collection highlights the beauty of pure cotton and linen. These natural fibres are not only breathable and comfortable but also represent a step towards a more sustainable future. Cotton and linen are biodegradable, renewable, and require less water and energy to produce than its synthetic alternatives. We bought our fabric directly from its manufacturers in India, maintaining the high quality and natural prints.

  • Khadi Silk: The Fabric of Change

We turned to Khadi Silk – a fabric from India, known for its eco-friendly properties. Khadi is more than just a fabric actually; it’s a symbol of self-reliance and environmental responsibility. This hand-spun (into a yarn on a spinning wheel) and handwoven silk material represents a tradition that respects both the craft and the earth. It’s a versatile silk fabric which comforts in summers as well as winters. By embracing Khadi, we are not just choosing a fabric but are also supporting a legacy of sustainable practices of fabric creation.

Our Commitment

At Kimaya, we are committed to:

Sustainability: Our fabrics are eco-friendly, reducing the environmental impact.

Quality: We ensure that each piece is crafted with the utmost care and quality.

Artisanship: Supporting local artisans and preserving traditional weaving techniques.
